About Us

Amy and Logan Blewett were married on May 16, 1998 after meeting at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. They moved to Paducah, Kentucky where Logan was working at the time.

Now, Amy teaches violin, piano, viola, and cello out of our home. Amy is a member of Reidland United Methodist where both of us are the Handbell Directors. Amy is also the volunteer Curator of the Paducah Railroad Museum.

Logan currently works as a school bus driver for McCracken County Schools. He continues to work as an Interpreter for the Deaf during church activities and as a volunteer. He is a member of Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He teaches the Adult Sunday School class and fills the pulpit occasionally as a Lay Pastor. He recently received his Certificate in Pastoral Studies from the Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. He serves as the Presbytery Elder Commissioner. Logan accompanies Amy's students and tunes pianos. He is also involved in the community as a ham radio operator and as the Museum Director of the Paducah Railroad Museum. Additionally, he is President of the Paducah Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.

We also volunteer at the Museum of the American Quilters' Society once a month, as well as the Paducah Railroad Museum.

We enjoy bike riding, swimming, taking walks together, and camping.

We are on Fall Break this week from school.  It has been very productive.  Yesterday morning, we finished up the front flower bed.  We had been nibbling away at the weeds for the past few months and finally got it finished.  It had been over run by irises, small trees, and a raspberry bush.

To finish the project, Logan had to make a trip to Lowe's for some more mulch.  While he was there he did some checking on water heaters.  (Ours has been leaking for the past two weeks and we were just waiting to get the medical bills paid off before we had any other major expenses.)  He asked about financing and he was informed they had a promotion of 6 months no interest with the Lowe's card.  He agreed to that but, by the time he made it to the front of the store, he was informed that it was not 6 months, it was 12 months!  So, not only did he get a great deal on the water heater itself, but the financing was great too!

This morning, we received a call that our new water heater would be installed this morning!  Wonderful!  Amy's parents are to arrive for a visit Wednesday evening and we were glad that this little project would be behind us.

Logan is feeling very efficient since he was able to get all the things done yesterday around the house and drive a bus trip.  Today he was able to get the garage swept out, water heater installed, finish the church bulletin, and get a good start on his sermon for Sunday.  (He was called last night to cover for the person who was originally scheduled to preach.)  In addition, we were actually early to a meeting this evening and were able to get some things done while at that meeting since we had our laptop with us.

So, now, the only two projects Logan has to complete before the week is over are finishing his sermon and preparing the minutes from his church's Session meetings.

Amy continues to teach this week (yes, she has home school, private school, other students from other districts with a different schedule, and other students who did not go on vacation this week.)  Additionally, she is preparing for her parents' visit.

All-in-all a great week so far.  We hope your week is going just as smoothly.

  1. Glad to hear all is going well. Grandma doing well with hearing aid. We had nice visit with Julia last week-just a week before the huge landslide closed the road we crossed RT410 through Mt Rainier Park. Whew. Glad we missed it.
