About Us

Amy and Logan Blewett were married on May 16, 1998 after meeting at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. They moved to Paducah, Kentucky where Logan was working at the time.

Now, Amy teaches violin, piano, viola, and cello out of our home. Amy is a member of Reidland United Methodist where both of us are the Handbell Directors. Amy is also the volunteer Curator of the Paducah Railroad Museum.

Logan currently works as a school bus driver for McCracken County Schools. He continues to work as an Interpreter for the Deaf during church activities and as a volunteer. He is a member of Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He teaches the Adult Sunday School class and fills the pulpit occasionally as a Lay Pastor. He recently received his Certificate in Pastoral Studies from the Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. He serves as the Presbytery Elder Commissioner. Logan accompanies Amy's students and tunes pianos. He is also involved in the community as a ham radio operator and as the Museum Director of the Paducah Railroad Museum. Additionally, he is President of the Paducah Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society.

We also volunteer at the Museum of the American Quilters' Society once a month, as well as the Paducah Railroad Museum.

We enjoy bike riding, swimming, taking walks together, and camping.

It is summer!  The last week of May was our official vacation.  We spent a few days in Normal, IL with Amy's parents.  We went to the Riverfront Museum in Peoria, IL and visited the McLean Co. museum in Bloomington.  Keith, Logan, and Amy rode their bikes on the Constitution Trail.  This rails to trails walk/bike trail travels within a few blocks of Keith and Barbara's house.

This is part of the compass rose in the floor of the Amtrak station in Normal.  The trail goes right by on the old Illinois Central right of way.

After a day trip to Nashville for a doctor's visit and some sight- seeing, we went back to work.  Amy has 18 students over the summer, and her adult strings group the Alpha Ensemble is "touring", playing at nursing homes all summer.

Logan is driving for an elementary school's summer program.  It is like daycare.  They go to the movies and the library on Tuesday, and a water park on Thursday.  He also drives other groups as needed.  Logan is also tuning pianos this summer.

Just this Friday, Summer Solstice, Amy's students performed at the Concert in the Park.  She lugged the borrowed keyboard, picnic stuff, music, and instruments by herself, because Logan was on a bus trip that started at 5:30 am.  He arrived 20 minutes before concert time, had a bite to eat, and then played the concert.  Busy, busy - but wait!  There's more!   He went home to work on his sermon, choose the hymns, type the bulletin, and create the slides for the projector.  On Saturday, Amy performed with Alpha Ensemble.  Logan worked on his sermon, etc.  On Sunday, Logan preached and interpreted the service at Zion Cumberland Presbyterian.

We are still working at the Paducah Railroad Museum and trying to keep up with daily life.

Sourdough pancakes.  Amy "grew" the sourdough herself.

Iris and peony that are long gone, now.   Have a happy summer!
